Whether we like it or not, we are all dependent on God. Many of us try to run away from this fact, so sometimes we have to remind ourselves. Take three-minutes today, fall to your knees, and ask God for help in an area of your life where you feel powerless. God is always happy to help!

Think of one opinion you hold strongly, and then ask yourself this question: what data could you be given that would change your mind about this opinion? If you cannot answer that question, you are probably being ideological!

Take a moment to reflect on the biases and prejudices that you hold. We all have them; the question is, can we be open, like Jesus was, to opening our eyes to the goodness of all people?

"Excluded voices"

Matthew 21:28-32 Jesus says that the tax collectors and prostitutes are going to heaven before the 'good' folk of his time. He changed hearts and minds by loving them.
Act
Take a minute today to think about who you judge as being sinners or morally impure. Pray for the grace to see them as God sees them, with the same eyes of love.

Take some time today to go outside and find a place to sit for a for few minutes. Watch the people walking past you. Look closely at each person as they walk past (be discreet - don't creepy stare!). Imagine the pain and joy that they might be carrying. Recall that they are human, just like you, with similar hopes, dreams, fears, and pains.

In your prayer today, ask God to give you the opportunity to serve someone in need. Then keep your eyes open, and when that opportunity comes, say yes.
